bread crostini with taleggio and thyme
crostini di pane con taleggio e timo
“easy to do” recipe featuring delitia taleggio.
• 8 slices taleggio, each 1/8 of an inch thick
• 1/2 pound rustic country bread
• 8 very small branches of thyme
• Freshly ground black pepper
Heat oven to 400°.
Cut 8 thin (3- x 3-inch) slices from bread. Spread slices on a
baking sheet and cover each slice of bread with a slice of
taleggio. Bake until taleggio starts melting, about 8 minutes.
Remove crostini from oven and let cool slightly, then sprinkle with
pepper, and garnish with a branch of thyme on the cheese.
